&esp;&esp;[1]本书英文原本出版时，中文名为《中国哲学小史》。但1933年商务印书馆曾出版著者另一本《中国哲学小史》，作为《万有文库百科小丛书》之一。因此著者将本书中文本定名为《中国哲学简史》。
&esp;&esp;[2]《中国哲学史》上卷，布德译，书名a history of chese philophy，the period of philophers（fro the begng to circa100 bc），由henry vetch，peipg：allen and un，london于1937年出版。布德继续译出下卷后，上下两卷均由prceton university press于1952年出版。
&esp;&esp;[3]《新原道》，一名《中国哲学之精神》，休士译，书名the spirit of chese philophy，由london：routle kegan paul于1947年出版。
